Star Spotting: Here’s Your Daily Reminder That Austin Mahone Is A Shirtless, Bodybuilding Babe! (PHOTO)
This simply means taking your time during the exercise. Now what I just described is the basis of a bodybuilding program. By tweaking minor points in your training and lifestyle you can use that to become either a massive muscle-bound behemoth or your typical fitness model that you see in magazines. However this form of training isn’t the most effective way to develop coordination, strength, or athleticism. The reason these athletes muscle change is because of something called sarcoplasmic hypertrophy, or in lay-mans terms water retention.
Bodybuilding.com suspends sales of pre-workout Craze
Food and Drug Administration issued a July 26th warning that a B vitamin product sold from a one-woman Long Island supplement company contained two anabolic, or bodybuilding, steroid drugs. One, methasterone, is regulated as a Schedule III controlled substance while the other, dimethazine, can be metabolized to generate two molecules of a methasterone derivative. Methasterone is one of a series of steroids initially synthesized in the 1950s by Syntex, now part of Roche, but it never reached the market. Depending on the dose taken, anabolic steroids can cause liver damage, blood clots, muscle pain, masculinizing effects in women and, in men, testicular shrinkage, infertility, and breast enlargement. The latter effect, also known as gynecomastia, results from the bodys compensatory effect against too much androgen; thats why bodybuilders often use aromatase inhibitors to prevent such feedback effects of estrogen synthesis (Yes, men, we make estrogen as well.). Purity First Health Products owner Candice M. Tripp initially chose to ignore FDA recommendations to voluntarily recall the B vitamin product, destroy any remaining stock, and to warn consumers about potential risks of injury.
Bodybuilding: the pursuit of vanity
(PHOTO) Posted 23 hours ago by Byron Flitsch in Celebrity , Photos Take your time counting all the ripples in Austin Mahone’s muscles. We’ll wait! At first we were all like, “Awww, look, Austin Mahone ‘s using his Instagram as a dream board and posting aspirational bodybuilder photos to get in the workout zone.” Then we read his caption, “Putting in work before the show! #gym #REDtour,” and we were like, “AW, SHOOOOT! That pile o’ buffness IS Austin!” It’s not like we didn’t already know that the “What About Love” singer was in shape , but this pic is just another friendly reminder that while we’re busy counting how many Cheetos we can fit in our mouth at once (17), Austin’s tallying the number of bench presses he can do in one rep (a-ba-zillion). Clearly, the MTV VMA nominee doesn’t use his hectic touring schedule as an excuse to not exercise — working out is obvs a major part of Austin’s preperformance ritual! (Related: If we were Taylor Swift , Austin’s “Red” tourmate , we’d be making up allllll kinds of excuses to hit up Austin’s green room before the show.) But seriously, if this whole pop star thing doesn’t work out (and if he gets bored of climbing the Empire State Building and running board meetings ), the guy should totally start his own fitness craze: the Mahomie-FLEX!
Bodybuilding grandpas prove you’re never too old to show off your muscles
kval.com Campbell, 61, didn’t start bodybuilding until his 50s. The two friends, both grandfathers, were the oldest of nearly 250 competitors at the event, and agreed age is no roadblock to getting in shape. Campbell, a personal trainer, started bodybuilding in his 50s. “You’re never too old,” he told Oregon’s KVAL-13 . “Bodybuilding keeps me healthy.” kval.com Campbell and Huard take a break from flexing to engage in some friendly banter backstage. Heres where [age] works to our advantage – its because were mature, weve been through all the testosterone spurts, were having fun and its keeping us really healthy, said Huard, a supplement store owner. Right now, our goal is to beat someone in their 40s, which is going to happen this year, added Campbell.
